Agriturismo
“Casalino” is the result of the
renovation of a farm built by our family at the end of the 19th
century.
The ground floor was used first as a cattleshed, then as a sheepfold;
the top floor was a hayloft.
It is situated in the hill zone of Maremma, halfway from the
coast and Mount Amiata, and it is the ideal place for all those
who love enjoying the most genuine side of country life with
its typical aspects and rhythms.

Our
agriturismo is divided into three apartments, which are named
after the main farming activities:
ORTO (vegetable garden)
OLIVETO (olive grove)
FIENILE (hayloft)
The farm produces I.G.P. (mark of protected origin) extra-virgin
olive oil that our guests can taste and buy in the farm; we
will also be glad to offer vegetables from our garden, especially
in summer.

| Our
structure is provided with a room where we will serve our typical
“farmer’s breakfast”, rustic and plentiful,
to let our guests live the tastes and atmospheres of old times,
when the farmers sat down at the table to have their morning
meal after some hours’ work in the fields. That will also
be an occasion to get in closer touch with our guests and to
make them feel familiar with us and with our wonderful territory. |

In
the vicinity you can visit a lot of medieval towns such as
Campagnatico and Scansano, the thermal springs in Saturnia
and Petriolo, the archaeological excavations of Roselle, the
Uccellina Park, or you can spend a relaxing day at the Centro
Ippico with its riding school. In summer you can easily reach
many resorts along the coast, from Marina di Alberese to Follonica;
for those who are keen on mountain, it is possible to visit
Mount Amiata and its typical towns. |
